JAMES’S (CHARLES GOUYN)-TYPE PORCELAIN HARLEQUIN SCENT BOTTLE AND STOPPER 19TH CENTURY his head forming the stopper, the masked figure standing beside a barrel, wearing a colorful checkered costume and holding a beaker of wine, the mound base painted with flower sprays, the gilt-metal mounts chased with scrollwork and the stopper attached with a chain.
